Meeting Business Requirements:When searching for a time recording solution, Mirait Technologies had specific requirements. The team needed a product that was easy to use, web-based for accessibility, and integrated seamlessly with MYOB EXO Job Costing. It was crucial that the solution catered to both job-costed employees and office-based staff.
After evaluating several options, TimeTrak stood out. “The ability to integrate directly with EXO Job Costing was a vital feature that we couldn’t find elsewhere,” explains Katie. Introduced by their Kilimanjaro account manager, TimeTrak became the clear choice.
Implementation Journey:The implementation began in September 2022, with the full rollout completed by March 2023. Katie emphasises the importance of a thorough preparation process. “We took extra time to review all processes, test each feature, and create a training program that was informative and relevant to all users. Following a ‘train the trainer’ approach, our managers were trained on both the Mobile website and App so they could assist their teams effectively,” she says.One of the unique challenges was accommodating multiple pay periods. With the help of implementation partner Emma, TimeTrak was customised to meet this need, ensuring a smooth payroll experience.

Features like dual approvals and the Professional Calendar for management have become integral tools for day-to-day operations.The company is now exploring updates in the latest TimeTrak release, particularly enhancements in allowances and leave management.
Positive Feedback and Future Plans:Staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. “Aside from minor observations, there haven’t been any major issues,” says Katie.
“TimeTrak has enabled us to automate a time-consuming, manual process while improving visibility and providing accurate daily and weekly recordings. It’s been a game-changer for our operations,” Katie concludes.
