Access TimeTrak data for reporting

It is now possible for businesses to have access to TimeTrak data in Excel and other software for reporting services.

In TimeTrak from version 23.1.4, there is the ability for a basic data report to be generated via a hashed URL (bypassing authentication within TimeTrak).

Generating a hashed URL:

TimeTrak Support staff can assist with creating a basic data report with the data you would like to extract from TimeTrak.

Via the TimeTrak Admin Console reports can then be right clicked and “Copy Export URL to Clipboard” can be selected as per below:

Using the link directly in Excel:

1. Open Excel and create a new workbook
2. Select the Data tab and click Get Data > From File > From Text/CSV

3. Paste the hashed url into the filename field at the bottom of the window and click Open.

4. It will pop open a window with a preview of the data. Click Load.

5. You will now see the data in your excel document.

6. If a change is made to the source data you can refresh the data in the Excel document quickly by clicking on the Data tab and clicking on Refresh All.

Similar method’s could be used in other software that can take in a csv file as its source.
