Add the ability to Assign/Un-assign an existing Job to a Master Job in the Sub Jobs Tab of the Master Job

September 15, 2022 General,Product Tips,

In TimeTrak Professional, from version 20.1. there is the ability to Assign/Un-assign an existing Job to a Master Job in the Sub Jobs Tab of the Master Job.

The two additional options are explained here;

  • Assign – this option allows you to assign an existing job as a sub job
  • Unassign – this option will enable you to unassign a sub job from the master job. This sub-job then becomes its own master job

Assigning an existing Job as a Sub Job:

From a Job (Master), select the Sub Jobs tab (1)

Select the Assign Job icon (2)

There is the option to select a different Client. The jobs for this Client would then display. For this example, we are not changing the Client.

From Job, select the down arrow. This will display all of the Jobs for the selected Client:

Select the Job that you would like to become a Sub Job and choose OK;

This Job will now display as a Sub Job:

Unassigning an existing Sub Job from the Master Job

From the Job, select the Sub Job Tab

From the available Sub Jobs, select the ‘Unassign Job’ icon against the Sub Job you want to unassign:

A dialog box/message will display asking ‘Are you sure you want to un-assign this job?’, select OK:

The Sub Job is removed from the Sub Job Grid against the Master Job.

Go ahead and Save the Master Job.

The Sub Job will now appear as a Master Job against the associated Client;

Please note this feature is only available in Professional.
