“Show Task Description” has been added to the Client Portal Group in order to define whether Task Descriptions can be seen in the Portal or not

From TimeTrak version 21.3.13, a new setting, “Show Task Description” has been added against portal groups (enabled by default) as per below:

When enabled on logging into the client portal, clients have the ability to enable “Show Task Detail” which will display the task description under each task as per below:

On selection of a Task, the Task Description will also show if Task Description is included in the Portal group Task Wizard Form Layout as per below:

If “Show Task Description” is disabled against the portal group, the Show Task Detail option is missing from the main task grid as per below, preventing clients from displaying the task description:

It is important to note if “Show Task Description” is disabled against the portal group, Task Description should not be included in the Task Wizard Form Layout as it will not display.

If configured incorrectly, IE is included and made required as per the below example:

The field will not display on creating/viewing tasks, and clients will be unable to make any changes as the field is required (but not displayed)
