Tip: Restrict Task Creation for a Job

Did you know that TimeTrak has an ability to restrict Task creation for a job?

This option is useful if you have large projects which have multiple tasks, but you need to restrict adding future tasks as per what was initially quoted to the client.

In order to do this, the job would be created and the task structure would be created against it.

Once the task structure had been created, the extra field X_TT_RestrictTaskCreation would be enabled against the job.

Add this Extra Field: X_TT_RestrictTaskCreation in MYOB Exo configurator as per below steps.

Go to MYOB Exo Job Costing, open Job and select RestrictTaskCreation in Extra Field form.

Note: This can also be enabled against the job in TimeTrak if the custom field is setup.

This will prevent users from adding new tasks to the job in TimeTrak Professional as per below.

This is also prevented In TimeTrak Mobile, as per below the Add Task button is not visible in the Job form.
